A new accessory has been developed for the Roll-top Console Cover. The new drop-in divider tray provides a caddy function to keep your small stuff (iPod, toll road coins, iPhone, etc) from getting lost in the bottom of the Black Hole of the center console. The tray readily slips in and out of your existing Roll-top Console Cover using one hand. Sidewalls on the tray keep your stuff from falling out. When inserted the tray rests on the built-in ledge at the bottom of the Roll-top Cover.
An optional locking function is available that holds the tray in the installed condition and limits access to goodies stored in the bottom of the Black Hole. The locking function is mainly a temporary deterrent while your FJ is in the carwash or while young children may be in the cab.
To lock the tray you manipulate the knob seen on the long divider wall in the photos above. The required manipulation is much like that of a "Chinese Puzzle Box". The unlock sequence can be done with one hand and adds less than 3 seconds to the extraction time. If you like, the tray can left in the unlocked condition and used the same as the non-locking model. The locking option also anchors the tray firmly and so avoids any road rattle.
The photo below shows you how the tray is removed by tilting the front up at 30 degrees and withdrawing forward and upwards. A similar reverse motion is used to install the tray. The other photo below shows the installed tray. The roll-top cover still works in the same manner to protect and cover up the contents of the tray.
Please note that this is not a stand-alone item. This will only work with the roll-top consoles. If you want the locking version, YOU NEED TO CHOOSE THAT OPTION BELOW. RETURNS OR EXCHANGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF YOU CHOOSE WRONG.
Works with all three models of Roll-top console covers
