PL259 Repair Kit

This is a standard PL259 UHF connector. This is the type of screw-on connector used on CB radios and CB antenna coax. These connectors are about 3/4" in diameter and male, with a center pin sticking out from the insulator.

This type of PL259 connector requires soldering to attach it to CB coax. Both the center wire and shield wire of the coax should be soldered to the connector.

The reducer is used when installing a PL259 connector on CB coax to reduce the size of the connector to fit the coax better. The end result is a more stable connection to the coax that is less likely to wear and/or break over time.
